My food philosophy
My food philosophy? Eat good food.
Good for the body: Eat whole foods, primarily plants. If you choose to eat animal products make it happy, local, organic, pastured animals. Steer clear of packages and make food fresh, from scratch, whenever possible. Learn what works best for your body.
Good for the planet: As Wendell Berry said, “eating is an agricultural act” – and it all goes back to the health of the environment. Vote with your fork by shopping at farmers’ markets and choosing local, seasonal and organic whenever possible. Get to know your farmer.
Good for the soul: Most importantly? Make it delicious. Listen to your body, trust it, and give it what it needs. Savor the whole process: from shopping and prepping to cooking and consuming. Bring yoga off the mat and to the table: practice gratitude, practice awareness, and relax. Food brings people together, connects you to other cultures, and nourishes your soul.
